===========================================
Sir:
I consider myself fortunate to have received your station on short-wave on 6185 kHz on 1 May 2008, from my tune-in at 0004 until I had to leave my receiver at 0015 UTC. I listened to your station on a AOR7030 communications receiver connected to a 40 meter long-wire antenna. I want to send you a report of my reception, and am attaching a 3 minute segment of audio that I heard during my listening period. I would be most appreciative if you would check the report below and the audio on the attached .mp3 file and, when you find the report to be interesting and correct, I would appreciate it very much if you could confirm the report with an EQSL card. I very much enjoyed listening to your station, and wanted to share my joy with you and your staff.
I heard your station with the following reception report: Signal strength: Moderate to weak. Interference from other stations: Nil. Atmospheric noise interference: Moderate. Fading effects due to propagation conditions: Moderate. Overall quality of my reception: Moderate to Fair. I rated your broadcast at SINPO 25332.
Below, I am listing some of the details that I heard during my listening period. All times are in UTC. I apologize in advance—I do not speak Chinese, but enjoyed so much listening to your station.
0004 I tuned in your frequency and heard a woman and a man announcer in Chinese with some announcements while some music was playing in the background. I think it was piano music. The man announcer continued and then the woman announcer in Chinese with some announcements. There seemed to be crowd noise in the background.
0005 A woman announcer in Chinese was heard with what sounded like a news item?
0006 A man announcer was heard with an item/announcement, then there was a remote report by a woman announcer.
0007 A woman announcer was heard in Chinese with an item, and then there was another report—this included a man speaking in English. The woman announcer was heard again with more of the report, and a woman announcer remote was giving part of the report, also a man heard in Chinese in the remote report. It sounded like the woman announcer remote was asking questions to a crowd.
0008 A woman announcer in the studio in Chinese was heard with an item.
0009 The woman announcer gave an item in Chinese
0009:30 The man announcer continued in Chinese with an item.
0010 The woman announcer gave an item in Chinese
0010:30 The man announcer gave an item in Chinese
0011 The woman announcer gave an item in Chinese, and then followed by a short march music heard in the background while the woman was talking.
0011:30 The woman announcer continued in Chinese with an item.
0012 The man announcer and a woman announcer gave an item in Chinese
0013 The man announcer seemed to be giving an advertisement type announcement in Chinese
0014 The man announcer and the woman announcer were giving items in Chinese.
0015 The man announcer continued in Chinese with an item.
0016 I had to leave the receiver and cease my listening at this time.
I do hope that you will find the report and the .mp3 file interesting, and that you will be able to send me confirmation of the report via your EQSL card. I thank you in advance for all you will do for me.
Sincerely,
Dan Henderson
